Wow! I reuse plastic containers all of the time. I should be more careful. I’ve also been more conscious of what can be recycled. I think in NYC we only recycle plastics 1-3, and that’s not including things like bottle caps. Those usually need to be thrown away in regular landfill, infiltrate soil trash.

Yeah, thank you for pointing that out. I think the implication is that the thank you note won’t be your saving grace.

I’d also like to add that while the tip suggests not prying with deep questions about the company or organization, you should ask something. A candidate that doesn’t ask a smart question about the position or organization will appear clueless and less interested.

the title for tip 2 is extremely misleading, while a thank you note may be too late to first express enthusiasm, it is always a good idea, if the job is between you and another person who decided not to follow up with a thank you note, who do you think is going to get the job?

I just “made” my own startpage : ) I used NetVibes. Incredibly fun. Now I can check multiple blogs and news feeds (in multiple languages!) in a neat and colorful interface. I’m not using the more in-depth stuff yet. I’ll get to that later.
